This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19. Petitioner had applied for the post of Medical Laboratory Technician, Grade-2 in the General Category pursuant to the advertisement issued after grant of sanction for filling the vacant post vide letter dated 04.08.2020 (Annexure P-1). Petitioner took the written test after being issued the roll number. Shortlisted candidates were to be called for scrutiny of documents. The petitioner claimed to have ranked 12th in the concerned list, but due to the very short notice afforded could not present himself alongwith the documents on the specified date.



 





 Prayer in this petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's candidature for document verification/scrutiny for the post of Medical Laboratory Technician Grade-2 in the General Category and thereafter for further selection process.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to deny that pursuant to interim orders passed in this writ petition counseling was conducted on 22.12.2020 in which the petitioner has duly participated and his documents subjected to scrutiny.
