The present criminal writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking grant of benefit of parole for 8 weeks under Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962 so as to enable him to meet and look after his family members and to settle household affairs. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had already sent an application on 30.06.2025 (Annexure P-2) but, the same has not been replied till date. Hence, the petitioner will be satisfied in case a direction be given to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner.

CRWP-6021-2026 (O&M) ( 2 ) 30.06.2025 (Annexure P-2) is still pending consideration with the competent authority, appropriate order on the same will be passed within a period of 4 weeks of the receipt of copy of this order and in case it is found feasible and permissible, the benefit will be granted otherwise due reasons will be mentioned in the order concerned and the same will be conveyed to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned counsel for the respondent - State, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 6.
