By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ particularly in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of retirement from 28.02.2011 instead of 28.02.2009 on attaining the age of 60 years being a Class IV employee on the basis of his date of birth 12.02.1951 in terms of circular No.13/3/2000-3PPII/14620 dated 26.11.2002 (P-2). 2.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though petitioner moved representation dated 24.05.2017 (P-6) followed by legal notice dated 05.04.2018 (P-7) to the respondents but till date neither any response has been received nor any conscious decision has been taken. He further submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the legal notice (P-7) within a Sonika 2018.07.12 12:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1-Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd., Patiala or any other competent officer(s) to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in legal notice (P-7) and to decide the same in accordance with law, rules and instructions, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4.

However, if petitioner still feels aggrieved by any order of the aforesaid authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
