***** JASPAL SINGH, J (ORAL) By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 23.06.2014 (P-9) passed by respondent No.3 to the extent by which the petitioner has been given promotion to the post of Accounts Officer with immediate effect instead of 10.12.2010, the date of promotion of respondent No.4, who is junior to him. AND further for issuance of direction to respondents to promote the petitioner to the posts of Accounts Officer and Senior Accounts Officer w.e.f 10.12.2010 and 31.10.2013 respectively and to grant all the consequential benefits 2.
At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though legal notice dated 09.05.2016 (Annexure P-10) was duly served upon the Sonika 2017.09.28 14:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
CWP No.18414 of 2017 --2-- respondents but till date no action has been taken. He would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent(s) to consider and decide the said legal notice within a stipulated period.

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-The Chief Engineer/Admn. Haryana Power General Corporation Ltd., Panchkula to look into the grievances ventilated by the petitioner in his legal notice dated 09.05.2016 (Annexure P-10) and consider the same, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

However, if the petitioner still feels aggrieved of the order passed by the concerned authority, he shall be at liberty to approach this Court.
