Prayer in this writ petition is for directing the respondents to relieve the petitioner from present place of posting and permit him to join at a new place of posting as per transfer order dated 17.09.2016. As per written statement dated 29.01.2018, it is stated that petitioner's name was inadvertently reflected in the impugned order whereby petitioner was shown to be transferred to Sirsa. Learned counsel for the State while referring to subsequent reply dated 22.10.2021 submits that the petitioner, who was working as a Head Teacher could not have been transferred to District Sirsa from Fatehabad because as per guidelines dated 01.04.2016, transfer of the petitioner, who is a Head Teacher, would affect seniority of JBT teachers of OMKAR SINGH 2022.05.11 10:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh
CWP No.18551 of 2017 [2] District Sirsa. Petitioner, it is submitted, continues to serve at Fatehabad. Matter has been adjourned on various occasions at request of learned counsel for the petitioner. Today, despite the matter being called twice, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. I do not find any justification to keep this matter pending any longer as it appears that petitioner is not interested in pursuing this petition any longer. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed in default. ( LISA GILL ) May 09 , 2022.
