Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Inspector Grade-1 with effect from the date when his juniors were promoted vide order dated 30.10.2014.
At the outset, learned counsel for petitioner submits that since petitioner is no more; therefore, instead of pressing the present petition on merits, he prays for decision of representation dated 03.11.2014 (P-5). Learned State Counsel has no objection against the innocuous prayer made on behalf of petitioner.
In view of the above, but without expressing any opinion on merits of the claim of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed off with direction to the competent authority (respondent No. 2) to consider and decide the aforesaid representation dated 03.11.2014 (P-5) as per law, by passing reasoned order within three weeks from receipt of certified copy of this order.
