Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the complete retiral benefits of the petitioner along with interest @ 18% p.a. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding legal notice dated 08.08.2022 (Annexure P-4). She submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said legal notice is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

Mr. Rajesh Sehgal, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4. On the asking of the Court Mr. Vipul Jindal, Advocate and Mr. Shobhit Phutela, who are on the panel of Department of Local Government, Punjab, have accepted notice on behalf of respondents No.5 and 6, respectively and have no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 to decide legal notice dated 08.08.2022 (Annexure P-4), submitted by the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
