(The aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in virtual court) Instant petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent No.5 and his musclemen. With further prayer to issue direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate legal action and to decide the representation dated 06.09.2021 (Annexure P-4). Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that due to previous land dispute, respondent No.5 and his sons are continuously pressurizing and threatening the petitioners for settling the matter by not taking any criminal action regarding the dangerous and brutal attack committed by the respondent No.

5 and his sons, wherein the petitioners were brutally beaten by deadly weapons and also received numerous serious injuries (detailed in medical record of Government Hospital-MLRs dated 29.07.2021 i.e. Annexures P-1 and P-2 but despite of all that, the local police has been pressurizing and threatening the petitioners for settling SONIKA 2021.09.

CRWP NO.9114-2021 --2-- the matter with the accused persons (respondents No.5 and his sons) just because accused persons are having strong links with the local politicians. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a representation dated 06.09.2021 (Annexure P-4) was made to the Superintendent of Police, District Palwal, but no action has been taken so far in the matter. He further submits that he would be satisfied, if necessary direction is issued to the concerned respondent to decide representation (Annexure P-4) moved by the petitioners, in a time-bound manner. Notice of motion.

Mr. Anmol Malik, DAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3.

Learned State Counsel has no objection if appropriate direction is given to the concerned respondent to decide the aforesaid representation.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with the directions to respondent No.2Superintendent of Police, District Palwal (Haryana) to look into the grievances of the petitioners as set out in the petition and also expressed in the representation (Annexure P-4) and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
