IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH Civil Writ Petition No.2220 of 2016 Date of Decision: February 04, 2016 Krishna Dhawan and others ....Petitioners versus State of Punjab and another .....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE SURYA KANT.

HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE P.B.BAJANTHRI.

--- Present: Mr.Jaideep Verma, Advocate, for the petitioners. -.-

1. Whether Reporters of Local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

2. To be referred to the Reporters or not?

3. Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? --- Surya Kant, J. (Oral) The petitioners have chosen to challenge the order dated 22.03.2012 rejecting their claim for allotment of a plot in the category of 'local displaced persons', after a period of more than three years. There is no explanation or even whisper in the writ petition as to what prevented them from approaching this Court within a reasonable period. As regard to the order passed by the Trust in the case of some other local displaced person, it is evident that the said order was also passed in the year 2012. Nothing precluded the petitioners from approaching this Court without that order also. MOHINDER KUMAR 2016.02.08 11:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.2220 of 2016 [2] In these circumstances we decline to interfere with the impugned order but dispose of this writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to pursue the matter before the Authorities including the State Government.

Ordered accordingly.
