In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Civil Writ Petition No. 16962 of 2018 Date of Decision: 13.07.2018 No. JC-332209X Partap Singh Rana ... Petitioner(s)

Versus

Union of India and Others ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Shekher Dhawan.

Present:

Mr. K.B.Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner(s).

Shekher Dhawan, J.

Present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is against the order dated 21.11.2017 (Annexure P10), whereby petitioner was transferred from Chandigarh to Pithoragarh. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner had made request for his transfer to two choice stations i.e. Raiwala and Dehradun, but he was not accommodated at the said places, rather he has been transferred to a distant place i.e. Pithoragarh, which at a distance of more than 500 Kms. It is a case of hardship for him and the management had not considered the same.

Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, there is no such case that the transfer of petitioner is against any settled policy of the management and it is within the purview and discretion of the management to transfer any employee at the place of Deepak Kumar Bhardwaj 2018.07.13 15:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
