The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents No.1 to 3 to open the liquor vends (L-1, L-14 & L-2) i.e., 64 L-14 liquor vends and 33 L-2 liquor vends situated at Abohar1, Circle & 47 L-14 liquor vends & 25 L-2 liquor vends situated at AboharII, Circle; which have been closed without issuance of any order/show cause notice/communication.

Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submitted that after filing of the writ petition, the auction was conducted on 20.08.2017 and the liquor vends which were allotted to the petitioner have also been auctioned.
