The petitioner-Gram Panchayat approached this Court only for a direction to respondent No.2- the Commissioner, Ambala Division, Ambala, for deciding the appeal against the order passed by the Collector dated 09.07.2014, which is pending for the last more than four years. Keeping in view the prayer made in the writ petition, we do not find any requirement of reply from the respondents as the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order.

Ordered accordingly.

It is further directed that if any appeal prior to the appeal in question is pending before the Commissioner, the same shall also be decided within the aforesaid period.
