The petitioner has already deposited the principal amount of Rs.9,50,000/-(Rs.Nine lacs and fifty thousand only). With a view to finally settle the controversy, it also agrees to pay a sum of Rs.2.60 lacs towards interest. The Bank has accepted petitioner's offer for full and final settlement on payment of Rs.2.60 lacs within a period of two months. It further appears that a cheque of Rs.35,000/- given towards the interest component has dishonored for want of sufficient funds.
