HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for releasing the detenue namely Manpreet Kaur, from the illegal custody of respondents No.6 and 7. Further prayer has been made to appoint a Warrant Officer to search the alleged detenue at the premises of respondents No.6 and 7 or at any other place as pointed by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to invoke alternative remedy as available to him, in accordance with law.
