**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) By this common order, I propose to dispose of above referred six writ petitions. For brevity, facts are being extracted from CWP No. 24081 of 2014.
The instant writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the order dated 03.04.2014 (Annexure P-10) by which the pay of the petitioners was fixed w.e.f. 01.01.1997, instead of their date of joining, as per Rule 11 of the Punjab State Education Class-III (School Cadre ) Service Rules, 1978.
On instructions from Sanjeev Madan, Senior Assistant, O/o D.P.I. (SE) Punjab, Mr. L.S.Virk, learned Addl. A.G., Punjab submits that the department had prepared a seniority list which came to be challenged in CWP No. 185 of 2014 and Hon'ble Single Bench of this Court has set aside
CWP No. 24081 of 2014 and five other connected cases -3the seniority list with a direction to reframe the same in accordance with law. The department has been given a period of four months to reframe the seniority list.
Mr. L.S.Virk, learned Addl. A.G., Punjab submits that the instant writ petitions may be disposed of since the claim of the petitioners will be addressed at the time when the fresh seniority list will be settled. In view of the fact that since the department is in the process of re-fixing the seniority list, these writ petitions are disposed of being rendered infructuous.
Needless to say, the claim of the petitioners regarding their seniority and fixation of pay will be dealt with at the time their seniority list is being prepared. In case, the petitioners have any grievance they are at liberty to file a fresh writ petition on any cause of action that may accrue to them.
