The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to the respondents to grant additional compensation as acid attack survivor as per letter dated 09.11.2016 (Annexure P-8) issued by Union of India. She is also seeking direction to respondents to grant her monthly financial assistance in view of notification dated 26.02.2019 (Annexure P-9) along with arrears. She is also seeking compensation as per notification dated 01.06.2020 as well as future medical treatment as per notification dated 08.05.2018. 2.
The petitioner is a survivor of acid attack dated 19.04.2025. Respondent No.1-Union of India vide letter dated 09.11.2016 issued scheme for compensation of ₹1 Lakh apart from the State's compensation scheme. She preferred representation dated 01.04.2026 to the respondent seeking additional compensation as per letter dated 09.11.2016 but the same has not been addressed till date. Government of Haryana issued policy dated MOHIT KUMAR 2026.05.26 14:12 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.
CWP-16761-2026 -226.02.2019 providing monthly financial assistance to acid attack survivors with 40% or above disability. District Civil Hospital, Jind issued 100% disability certificate dated 17.02.2026. She submitted the disability certificate to the respondents seeking monthly financial assistance. The respondent issued notifications dated 08.05.2018 and 01.06.2020 granting free of cost 100% medical treatment to acid attack survivors and compensation to disabled acid attack survivors. She preferred a spate of representations to the respondent seeking benefit and compensation under the aforesaid schemes but the same have not been addressed till date. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that ex gratia amount and monthly assistance has to be granted by Union of India and State Government respectively as per notified scheme. 4.
Learned counsel for respondent No.1-Union of India submits that competent authority would consider petitioner's claim and pass an appropriate order within 8 weeks from today. Similar statement is made by learned State counsel.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.
