G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks the relief of the service benefits on account of his retirement as Driver on 30.11.2013. Accordingly, retiral benefits including pension, GPF, GIS, leave encashment and commutation of pension alongwith interest @ 18% p.a. has been claimed. Counsel for the petitioner submits benefit of retirement dues had been sanctioned on 28.07.2014 by Accountant General, Punjab. The sanction was also sent to the Accountant General, Jammu & Kashmir but payment has not been made by them on account of the fact that they have not received any sanction. It has further been submitted that representation dated 12.12.2014 (Annexure P-6) has been served on respondents for the said relief but no action has been taken on the same. Counsel further submits that he would be satisfied at this stage if a direction is issued to respondent nos. 2 to 4 to take a decision on the said representation within a time bound frame.

CWP No. 23389 of 2015 into the merits of the case, this Court does not feel it necessary to call upon the respondents to file reply.
Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent nos. 2 to 4 to take into consideration the representation dated 12.12.2014 (Annexure P-6) and decide the same within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. The said respondents will take appropriate steps to ensure payment of retiral dues. In case the amounts are found to be due, payment be made within two months thereafter. Needless to say that in case the relief is to be denied, the order should contain reasons.
