Heard the submission made by learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

We are of the considered view that the Tribunal has rightly banked on the decision in Senior Superintendent of Post Offices versus Smt. Sham Dulari and others 2006 (3) S.C.T 577, wherein it was held that Extra Departmental Agents were also entitled to payment of gratuity under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 and that they would also be entitled to payment of statutory interest on the gratuity amount withheld as per the terms of the Act and rightly allowed the claim made by the official respondents. We do not find any merit in the Writ Petition and, therefore, it stands dismissed.
