In the present petition, the petitioner has challenged the action of the respondents in considering the case of the petitioner under the new pension scheme despite that his appointment was in government service prior to cut off date i.e. 01.01.2004.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No. 4 to decide the representation dated 03.03.2025 (Annexure P-9) submitted by the petitioner, in a time bound manner. 3.

Mr. Vikas Arora, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3. On the asking of the Court, he also appears for respondent No. 4.
