Learned counsel for respondent No.2 has placed on record the Notification dated 09.09.2016 vide which Government of Punjab has amended the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Group-B) Service Rules, 1988. As a result of that amendment, some of the petitioners have been further promoted vide order dated 19.09.2016. In view of amendment of the Rules, the cause of action in the instant writ petition won't survive. The same is accordingly disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
