The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 05.07.2022 passed by this Court in CWP-8711-2017.

This Court had issued the following directions, vide order dated 05.07.2022 in CWP-8711-2017:- "Keeping in view the above, the present writ petition is also allowed in same terms with the modification that the arrears for which the petitioner becomes entitled for, will only be released from the date of the filing of the present petition."

In compliance of the order dated 05.07.2022 passed by this

-2Court in CWP-8711-2017, compliance report by way of affidavit dated 02.12.2024 of Sh. Sangeet Kumar, Executive Officer, Nagar Council, Sirhind, District Fatehgarh Sahib, along with annexures, has been filed on behalf of the respondents before the Registry. The same is taken on record. The relevant portion of the said compliance report is reproduced as under:- "2.

That the matter concerning the case for grant of release of pension to the Petitioner in the revised scale was received in the office of the deponent on 02.09.2024, after due verification and approval from to the Director, Local Government vide order dated 23.07.2024 and the letter No. R.D.D.(L.A.)L/421 dated 27.08.2024 of the Regional Deputy Director, Local Audit, Ludhiana. 3.

That the requisite approval was given by the office of the deponent vide Office Order No.889 dated 02.09.2024. In compliance of the order passed by the Hon'ble High Court, the arrears amounting to Rs.1,04,123/- have been released to the petitioner on 06.09.2024. Thereafter, as some more amount was found due on account of difference in Gratuity (Rs.31,796/-) and Leave encashment (Rs.19,270/-), therefore the balance amount of Rs.51,066/- was paid to the Petitioner on 20.11.2024. The same have been calculated from the date of filing of the writ petition and by taking the revised pension with basic pay of Rs.20,870/-, alongwith old age allowance and applicable Dearness Allowance (DA)." 4.

In view of the above, the order dated 05.07.2022 passed by this Court in CWP-8711-2017 has already been complied with. This fact is not

-3disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.

Consequently, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged.
