The petitioner, who had lodged FIR No.49 dated 18.7.2019 at Police Station City Balachaur, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar under Sections 302 and 34 of Indian Penal Code on account of alleged murder of her son, has approached this Court by way of filing instant petition so as to seek issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to complete investigation and to submit a final report in the matter.

Pursuant to issuance of a direction vide order dated 30.10.2020, a status report had been filed by way of affidavit of Sh. Davinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Balachaur, District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. ( 2 ) CRM-M-34926-2020 (O&M) could not ascertain the cause of death and infact it has been opined that since there was no injury and no poison was detected in the chemical examination, unnatural death is ruled out. It has been deposed therein that consequently a cancellation report has been prepared and has been sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, SBS Nagar for approval and after requisite approval, the same would be presented before the Court of Law. 3.
In view of the aforestated position, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to do the needful so as to ensure that the final report in the matter is submitted before the Court concerned at the earliest preferably within a period of one month from today.
