Dated Police Station Sections 24.07.2021 Maqsudan, District Jalandhar Rural 323, 447 & 511 IPC Petitioners seek quashing of above captioned FIR on the grounds that compromise had taken place, based on which police had already submitted cancellation report.

On a query from this Court that why the compromise petition was not filed, petitioner's counsel argued that since the respondent/complainant has gone abroad, as such, it is not possible for him to take his signatures. Petitioner's counsel further submits that in case need arises, he be permitted to file petition for quashing of FIR on the basis of compromise with liberty that statement of the complainant be recorded through video conferencing. Petitioners' second prayer is that in the meantime the trial Court be directed to expedite the decision with regard to the cancellation report, as petitioners also want to go abroad to stay with their children. 3.

Prayer being genuine, is accepted.

Given above, the concerned Magistrate is requested to expedite the decision with regard to the cancellation report on priority, for the reason that because the petitioners also want to travel abroad and pendency of this FIR is coming in their ANJU RANI 2024.07.24 17:52 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh

Liberty reserved to petitioner to approach this Court again, if need arises, to file quashing petition based on compromise or otherwise. Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed.
