RAJAN GUPTA, J(Oral) Short reply by way of affidavit of Seema Jain, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab on behalf of respondent No.1 has been filed . Same is taken on record. Paras 4 and 5 thereof read as under:- "4. That it was brought in to the notice of Deputy Commissioner Sangrur that as per the affidavit given by Department of Medical Education and Research Punjab in the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in the present case the Medical College is to be set up in the PPP mode and it is not a purely government hospital.
Since the Gram Panchayat has passed the resolution only for government medical college and not for the medical college setup through PPP mode, the Deputy Commissioner Sangrur has cancelled the sanction dated 12.10.2020 wherein 23 acre 01 kanal 07 marla shamlat land of Gram Panchayat Gharacho was gifted to Department of Medical Education and Research Punjab vide order No.642-648 dated 23.02.2021 and has directed the Tehsildar Bhawanigarh to get the mutation sanctioned back in the name SUKHPREET KAUR 2021.03.

of Gram Panchayat Gharacho. Accordingly, the Deputy Commissioner has intimated the office of deponent vide letter No.649 dated 23.02.2021. Copies of both the orders are annexed as Annexure R-1 and R-2 respectively.

That since the order of gift given to Department of Medical Education and Research Punjab has been cancelled and direction to Tehsildar Bhawanigarh regarding revising the sanction of mutation in favour of Gram Panchayat has been issued, the present petition has become infructuous.
