KULDIP SINGH J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner states that arrears have been paid but these were paid with delay. Therefore, petitioner is entitled to interest on the delayed payment.
In view of the matter, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Municipal Council, Kapurthala, to pay interest at the rate of 9% per annum for the delayed payment of the retiral benefits starting three months from the date of retirement till the date of actual payment.
