Surinderpal Singh @ Surinder Singh v. State Of Punjab And ORS
In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Civil Writ Petition No. 17495 of 2018 Date of Decision: 02.11.2018 Surinderpal Singh alias Surinder Singh ... Petitioner(s)
Versus
State of Punjab and Others ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Shekher Dhawan.
Present:
Mr. Balbir Singh Malhi, Advocate for the petitioner(s).
Shekher Dhawan, J.
Prayer made in the writ petition is for quashing the impugned order dated 16.09.2016 (Annexure P3) to the extent whereby petitioner was promoted notionally to the post of Naib Tehsildar with effect from 01.04.2012 when his junior colleague was promoted. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner had been performing the duties of Naib Tehsildar right from 1996 and as such he was entitled to monetary benefits as well, which have been wrongly denied to the petitioner vide order dated 16.09.2016 (Annexure P3). Learned counsel further contended that for that purpose, petitioner has already made detailed representation dated 26.07.2017 (Annexure P4) and subsequent reminder dated 13.06.2018 (Annexure P5), which are still pending for decision with the respondents.
Notice of motion.
