The prayer in this petition is by Guest Faculty Lecturer that she should not be relieved and re-appointed to the same position after the summer break and her services should be continued till she is not replaced by a regular hand.
She relies on a decision of the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.8745 of 2003 titled Hargurpartap Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others decided on November 07, 2003 in which a large number of appeals were decided by the Supreme Court with a direction directing the State to continue ad hoc teachers till regular appointments are made and to pay them the minimum of pay scale.
