(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing at length, when confronted with the fact that it has directly approached this Court without filing any representation before the respondent-authorities, prays for and is permitted to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to approach them by filing a representation.

Ms. Lavanya Paul, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab on advance copy submits that in case the petitioner does so, the respondentauthorities shall immediately take up the matter and decide the representation expeditiously in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order and communicating the same to it.

In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned State counsel, we do not find any reason to entertain the present petition which is disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and, therefore, the authorities would be at liberty to examine the matter keeping all facts and facets into consideration and thereafter accept or reject the same in accordance with law.
