***** VINOD S. BHARDWAJ, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed for seeking directions to the respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner as his wife was contesting municipal elections from Ward No.9, Moga. 2.

Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, a status report by way of affidavit of Jatinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), Moga, District Moga has been filed by the respondents No. 1 to 7, as per which it was admitted that wife of the petitioner was contesting elections from the said ward and that the elections have already been held peacefully. 3.

In the given circumstances, no further directions are required to be issued.

The present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
