The petitioner approached this Court seeking a direction to remove illegal encroachment by respondent Nos.7 to 33 from Johar/pond in village Bhuna, Tehsil Guhla, District Kaithal. In reply filed by the Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Guhla, it has been stated that demarcation of the area was carried out and the report was submitted by the Kanoongo on 05.11.2017 in terms of which 30 persons were found to be in unauthorised possession of the panchayat land. Ejectment petitions have been filed against the unauthorised occupants before the Assistant Collector Ist Grade, Guhla, which at the time of filing of the written statement were pending. CWP-19280-2017 -2not found to be in unauthorised possession of the panchayat land. As effective steps have been taken by the authorities to get the panchayat land vacated from the unauthorised occupants, in our opinion the present petition can be disposed of now directing the Assistant Collector before whom the ejectment petitions are pending to decide the same expeditiously. Ordered accordingly.
