In the present petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No. 2 to decide the statutory appeal dated 20.05.2025 (Annexure P-2) filed by him against the punishment order dated 06.05.2025 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, prays that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to decide the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner in a time bound manner.

Mr. Anil Sharma, Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that he has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the statutory appeal dated 20.05.2025 (Annexure P-2), within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law. 6.

Since the statutory appeal is still pending and is yet to be decided, no further recovery shall be effected from the salary of the petitioner till the disposal of the appeal.
