Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the sole prayer on behalf of the petitioner is that the election which are scheduled to be held on 26.05.2026 in the Municipal Council, Samana, the same should be conducted under either the CCTV camera or videography so that free, fair and impartial election may be conducted.

Mr. Jastej Singh, Addl.A.G.Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submits that same direction has already been issued by passing an order in case of "Amandeep Singh Nagi Vs. State of Punjab and others" in CWP-16135-2026 decided on 21.05.2026, which is applicable to all the municipal councils, wherein similar directions have already been given and such directions given by the Court will be implemented qua all the municipal council where the elections are going to be conducted.
