(ORAL) Through instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to adopt a uniform and transparent policy to grant re-fixation of pay and increments with retrospective effect as per the directions issued by this Court (P-1) w.e.f. 01.11.1971 and further to refix the salary and pay the arrears.

In response to the notice of motion issued by this Court, the respondents filed reply by way of short affidavit of Mr. Amardeep Singh, District Education Officer (SE) Gurdaspur on behalf of the respondents. 3.

In the light of aforesaid facts and circumstances, the instant petition is rendered infructuous and is disposed of, as such. 5.
