(Oral) Counsel for the petitioner submits that the dispute in question is matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and his wife i.e. respondent No.5-Priya Sharma and the police is unnecessary harassing petitioner at the behalf of respondent No.5 and time-&-again calling him to Women Police Station Mohali. The counsel for the petitioner further submits that earlier the present petitioner approached the Sessions Court, which passed order Annexure P-3 to the effect that in case of arrest of the petitioner on any complaint moved by Priya Sharma, he be given 2 days prior notice. Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Mr. Chaman Lal Pawar, Addl. A.G. accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab and submits that police is duty bound to adhere to the directions given by Hon'ble Supreme Court in case PUNEET CHAWLA 2022.10.19 13:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
