In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of arms/revolver license, in pursuance to the application vide acknowledgement receipt dated 17.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner under the provisions of the Arms (Amendment) Act, 2019. 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioner submits that there is a serious and genuine threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioner as such, the present writ petition be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the application vide acknowledgement receipt dated 17.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in a time bound manner. Learned counsel further submits that even a representation dated 07.05.2026 (Annexure P-4) has also been submitted by the petitioner to respondent No.2. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation dated 07.05.2026 (Annexure P-4), submitted by the petitioner, in respect of grant of arms/revolver license to the petitioner, within a period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law. 6.

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
