ANOOP CHITKARA J., ORAL ***** The petitioner had come before this Court seeking release of his girlfriend named Kanchan, aged 20. The matter was taken up on Saturday through VC and the State of Haryana was asked to get instructions for today. Being Sunday, the matter is being taken up through Google Meet. Mr. Manish Bansal, Sr. DAG Haryana along with Mr. Mohit Kakkar counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Nand Lal Mandhan, who is Reader of this court have joined Google Meet. Mr. Manish Bansal Sr. DAG Haryana has shared instructions. The detenue, Kanchan, has given her statement to the police in the presence of legal aid counsel Ms. Balwant Kaur, and as per her stand she wants to go with the petitioner, and according to the State she is under no restrictions as of now.

The petitioner's counsel states that he also has telephonic conversations with petitioner and is fully satisfied with State's prompt action. The detenue is an adult; it is her mind, her body, and her rights over it, including how she wants to spend it until such conduct does not violate the law. Given above no further orders are required to be passed.Petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms.
