(ORAL) The instant writ petition has been filed seeking a writ, direction or order in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as a Clerk on compassionate ground. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the father of the petitioner expired in the year 1984 and the petitioner was born few months thereafter on 17.08.1984. It is contended that father of the petitioner was a Government employee working as Social Studies Master and died in harness. A limited prayer is made for the legal notice (Annexure P-9) served upon the respondents on 05.09.2016, to be decided expeditiously. Notice of motion.

Mr. Rupam Aggarwal, learned DAG, Punjab, who is present in the Court is directed to accept notice on behalf of the respondents. Let three copies of the paper book be handed over to him by the learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of the day.
