The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the orders dated 09.06.2023 and 22.06.2023 (Annexures P-1 and P-3 respectively).

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present petition has become infructuous in view of the fact that the Gram Panchayats within the State of Punjab already stand dissolved vide notification dated 26.02.2024, therefore he does not wish to pursue the instant petition any further.

In view of the above, the instant Petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
