Mr. Mandeep Singh and Ms. Neha Matharoo, Advocates for the petitioner Mr. Charanpreet Singh, AAG Punjab ***** AMAN CHAUDHARY, J. (ORAL) 1. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner had superannuated as Panchayat Officer on 31.12.2013, whereafter, regular pension was granted to him w.e.f. December, 2016, though after a delay of 3 years, however, the arrears w.e.f. 01.01.2014 to 30.11.2016 were not paid, regarding which representation was submitted on 30.03.2017, Annexure P-5, followed by a legal notice dated 24.09.2024, Annexur P-6 and a reminder dated 09.12.2024, Annexure P-7, however, the same have yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation along with legal notice and reminder dated MOHIT 2025.05.29 16:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-16370-2025 (O&M) -230.03.2017, 24.09.2024 and 09.12.2024 respectively, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
