At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, District Panchkula (respondent No.2) to consider and decide the representation dated 13.08.2022 (Annexure P-5) alleged to have been submitted by the petitioners seeking protection for their lives and personal liberty.

Accordingly, and without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioners and even the assertions set out in the petition, the same is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 that if any such representations, as indicated above, are indeed pending consideration, they shall be dealt with expeditiously in accordance with law.
