**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) The instant writ petition has been filed seeking a writ, direction or order in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the petitioner benefit of proficiency step up on completion of 8, 16 & 24 years service under ACP Scheme dated 25.09.1998 (Annexure P-1) and revised pay and pension from the due date along with consequential benefits with interest.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner was appointed as JBT Teacher on ad hoc basis on 29.10.1968 and his services were regularized on 01.04.1977 in Education Department, Punjab and retired from service on 24.08.2001. She worked on the same post throughout in the same pay scale. She was not granted ACP benefit on completion of 8, 16 and 24 years service. The legal notice (Annexure P-2) has already been served upon the respondents on 15.05.2015 and to date the same is yet pending consideration.

In view of the limited prayer made herein, the respondents are directed to decide the legal notice (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner by passing a speaking order in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case, the petitioner is found to be entitled to the necessary relief as sought for, the necessary benefit be granted to her within a period of three months thereafter.
