(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, who apprehend threat to their life at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 6. 2.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Navdeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. 4.
Learned State counsel, on instructions, has submitted that the statement of the petitioners has been recorded, wherein they have categorically stated that they do not apprehend any threat at the hands of any person much less private respondents.

In view of the instructions received, learned counsel for the petitioners does not press the instant petition. 6.
Dismissed as not pressed.
