Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? RAJIV NARAIN RAINA, J. (Oral) During the arguments, the claim has been confined for the present for a decision of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner against an adverse order imposing 5% cut on pension following an inquiry into the charge of alleged lack of supervision etc.
Without going into the merits of the case, learned counsel says that he would be satisfied if the statutory appeal filed on 16.9.2014 is directed to be decided within a reasonable period as the appeal has remained pending for unreasonable period.
Consequently, a direction is issued to the competent authority amongst the respondents where the appeal is pending to consider and decide the statutory appeal in accordance with law within two months from the date PARITOSH KUMAR 2016.02.05 17:13 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

of receipt of a certified copy of this order. The competent authority would immediately issue notice to the petitioner for appearance before him on a date fixed in his office and after hearing him, he would decide it by dealing with all the questions raised in the appeal and at the time of hearing and return findings on each of them disclosing the process of reasoning which has weighed in making the order.
With these observations and directions, the petition is disposed of.
