This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (CrPC) for quashing of the order dated 15.03.2023 (Annexure P-3) vide which the bail bonds of the petitioner were cancelled and surety bonds forfeited in FIR No.08 dated 03.02.2022 under Sections 354-A/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 registered at Police Station Valtoha, Tarn Taran.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the petitioner is facing trial in the above-noted case and was granted bail vide order dated 11.04.2022 of the Additional District Judge, Tarn Taran. 2023:PHHC:101114 CRM-M No.34806 of 2023 - 2 - challan was presented on 16.02.2023 and the matter was adjourned to 17.02.2023 for consideration of charge. It is further the contention that on 17.02.2023 the petitioner could not appear and the notice was issued for 15.03.2023. On 15.03.2023 the petitioner failed to appear as he was arrested in FIR No.5 dated 14.01.2023 at Police Station Valtoha.
3. Status-report has been filed by the State of Punjab. It has been mentioned therein that the petitioner was arrested on 13.03.2023 in connection with FIR No.05 dated 14.01.2023 under Sections 363/366-A IPC registered at Police Station Valtoha, District Tarn Taran. 4.

In view of the fact that the petitioner could not appear on 15.03.2023 as he was arrested in connection with FIR No.05 dated 14.01.2023 under Sections 363/366-A IPC registered at Police Station Valtoha, District Tarn Taran, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the Trial Court/Additional Sessions Judge (Duty) concerned within a week from today. In case the petitioner files an application for regular bail the same shall be decided by the Court concerned on the same day on merits and in accordance with law.

The petition is accordingly disposed off. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
