(Oral) This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari quashing the order dated 28.08.2020, Annexure P-16, whereby the petitioners' candidature for the post of Primary Teachers has been illegally cancelled. Further, a direction has been sought to the respondents to join the petitioners.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that during pendency of the petition, petitioners have been given appointment as Primary Teachers, pursuant to their qualifications having been recognized by the respondents. Respondent no.2 has joined the post in December, 2022, whereas respondent no.1 has not done so despite having been asked. In spite of repeated reminders, she has not come forward to join the post. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the facts aforestated.
