ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioners herein, inter alia, seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to decide their representation/application contained at Annexures P-3 and P-4 and pass appropriate orders.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners had joined the services of the respondent on 09.09.2017. Thereafter, their services were renewed on regular basis. They have been working continuously as Security Guards for almost 3 years against a regular sanctioned post. He further submits that petitioners requested the respondent University to regularize their services against the sanctioned post of Security Guard but to no avail. In the premise, petitioners submitted representation/application dated 12.05.2020 (Annexure P-3 and P-4), but the same have also not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition. 3.

Mr. Puneet Gupta, Advocate, who has joined proceedings on service of advance copy of the petition appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-University.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by the respondent as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to decide their representation/application dated 12.05.2020 (Annexures P-3 and P-4) and also by keeping in view the contentions stated in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and pass a speaking order, in accordance with law.

Let the needful be done within a period of 2 months from today. 8.
Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
