In this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the notice dated 13.06.2017 (Annexure P-8) passed by respondent No.3, whereby, it has been directed that after declaring the covered area, to pay the property tax for building owned by it under Punjab (Institutions and others Building Tax) Act, 2011 for the years 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18. 2.

A perusal of show cause notice (Annexure P-8) shows that it was issued on 13.06.2017 which has been assailed before this Court. The petitioner has not filed any reply to the show cause notice so far. In case such reply to the show cause notice is filed, the same shall be decided by respondent No.3 within a period of next one month after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law.
