       This petition has been filed under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 by the petitioner for appointment of sole arbitrator in terms of clause 49 of the Purchase Order dated 17.06.2016 entered into between the parties for purchase of various items. Learned counsel for the parties on 08.07.2022 had conjointly agreed to the appointment of Justice Sudhir Kumar Katriar, a former Judge of Patna High Court, as an arbitrator.

Necessary declaration required under section 12 of the Act, as sought from Justice Sudhir Kumar Katriar, has been received and is placed on record as 'Mark X'.

In the circumstances, in view of the previous order dated 08.07.2022, Justice Sudhir Kumar Katriar, a former Judge of Patna High Court, is appointed as an Arbitrator in the matter to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties.

Application stands disposed of.
