Petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing order dated 27.7.2017 (Annexure P-2) whereby local rank of ASI given to the petitioner stood withdrawn on expiry of period of six months. At the outset, learned State counsel submits that no right is vested in the petitioner in view of clear stipulation of the order. However, similar action has not been taken against other employees who were given local rank. No clear answer is forthcoming on behalf of the State in this regard. Learned State counsel, however, submits that matter shall be looked into by respondent no. 2 and appropriate decision shall be taken. This court is not inclined to interfere. Present petition is, however, disposed of with liberty to the respondent no. 2 to look into the matter and pass appropriate orders.
