JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is serving as an Assistant Research Officer on deputation with BBMB against the quota post reserved for the Irrigation Department, Punjab. He retired on attaining the age of superannuation of 58 years w.e.f. 31.07.2017. Upon his request, he was granted the first year extension w.e.f. 01.08.2017 as per the optional extension policy. The grievance was that no decision had been taken regarding his request for the second year extension w.e.f. 01.08.2018. The confusion was that no request has been forwarded by BBMB and received by the Irrigation Department.

At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the respondents state that order dated 08.08.2018 stands passed whereby the petitioner has been granted his second year extension till 31.07.2019.

In view of the above, no further adjudication is required. Dismissed as infructuous.
